Default Changing from 6X4 to EZ81

I have a tube regulated power supply PCB using 6X4, 12AU7, and EL84. The problem is: 7-PIN tube sockets and 6X4 are quite rare in Thailand, so I'm going to modify the PCB a bit by changing 6X4 to EZ81 which requires a 9-PIN socket.

What I'm not sure is: are there technical or electrical contraints for 6X4--> EZ81? Can someone give me both 6X4 and EZ81 datasheets?

Sorry for my poor english & thank you in advance for every comment.

I don't see any problem in changing the 6X4 for a EZ81. Just take care that your heater supply can feed the extra 0,4 amp consumed through the EZ81 filament. Maybe you can try EZ80, this one has the same filament supply than the 6X4 (or are you limited to new production EZ81's?)

You can find the datasheets at www.duncanamps.com

OK. Thanks..

My transformer is "0-6.3V X2(1.5A), 320V-0-320V (100mA), 0-15V X2 (2A)". Is "320" too much for 6X4 and EZ81?

ez80 is rated for 350-0-350 input, the 6X4 for 325-0-325
