I was thinking of using 100uF instead of 47uF for the aikido headphone amp (high Z 9pin version: http://www.tubecad.com/2006/04/27/ai..._amplifier.png).
If I do that, would I be changing other values as well? if so, can you tell me what they are and if possible the new values? I have a feeling changing output cap value would require other changes as well cause John Broskie has several versions of the schematic based on the Z. thanks for the help. |

If you are thinking about changing the value to 100uF, you must have a reason for do so. This change will reduce the lower cutoff frequency, which is good. But it may not make much difference in what you hear.

What's the impedance of your headphones? 47uF seems awfully small for most popular models.
