Hi guys,
I would like to start a new porject. I want to build a line preamp with two 6922 tubes, it shoud be a low gain design (about 11-15db) with a class A single ended topology. It should be able to drive a solid state amp with input impedence around 55KOhm. Does anyobdy point me to some schematics or porject? What is the best commercial preamp having this design? Bye for now, Cukkurullo |

The mu of the 6922 is 33. That's 5X the gain you want. You could construct a circuit that uses loop NFB. Somehow, I get the feeling that's not where you want to go. There are solutions using transformers that don't use loop NFB.
Does the tube absolutely have to be the 6922? If you search, you will find several circuits that employ the 12B4. Without fuss or muss, a 12B4 based design would do exactly what you want.
