Default CLCRC power supply config

just a question in regards to the config mentioned above.

Does it always have to be a capacitor as the 1st component after the tube? Can it be a RCRCLC?

I asked as with PS Designer, it can be anything and I'm not really sure if there are sonic benefits with one or the other.

Thanks for the reply.

C-R-C or C-L-C or L-C, but straight R-C just makes heat with no benefit.

I used an RCRCRC to bring down the B+ for one of my preamp...
