Kaneda hybrid preamp error ?

Hi Tubholics ! Did someone test the "hybrid preamp" of M KANEDA ? On these , you can find a twin triode with CCS as input , a pair of PNP hivoltage transistors , and a serial PP with another twin triode as output stage . The trouble (IMO ?) is with these sanded 2SA1967 are said to be PNP . Looking at NEC data sheet, they are NPN 900v Vce

??? Any advice ?

So , the 2SA1967 is a real PNP in Japan and became an NPN for the rest of the world

Yes, Japanese transistor names have a simple rule:
2SA and 2SB: PNP
2SC and 2SD: NPN.

Originally, the difference between 2SA and 2SB was high frequency (like radios) use vs. low frequency (like audio amplifiers). But, these days silicon transistor has high fT even named as 2SB. Same thing happens to 2SC (RF) and 2SD (AF).

2SJ -> p-channel
2SK -> n-channel

Wild guess:
JAN part #
1N = 1 junction
2N = 2 junctions
and so on...?
