Default E182CC - how to connect heater supply?

I was reading the datasheet http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/f...9/e/E182CC.pdf) and if I need to use 6.3V heater supply, I need to connect 4, 5 and 8.

I somewhat think the 4 and 5 is connected like what I'm used to (6.3V from transformer goes into pins 4 and 5). But I do not understand where do I connect pin 8.

thanks for the replies.

If you want to use a 6.3V voltage for the filament you have to connect pin 4 and 5 together and apply the filament voltage between pins 4/5 and 8.

For 12V operation apply voltage between 4 and 5 and leave pin 8 unconnected

I don't believe in audiophile components - except when I can get them at frugal-phile(tm) prices
