Hi vnarchitect

I see you are director! Very impressive, and that is probably also the reason you are also a very busy man, fact I recognise from 1 - you do not state what you need from your preamp, 2 - you did not perform a search at this forum or the internet to see the available schematics and 3 - that you don't know that best quality and 12AU7 hardly go together.

tell us, what do you want exactly?

vnarchitect,

Take a look at John's site:

http://www.tubecad.com/2005/January/blog0030.htm
http://www.tubecad.com/2006/04/blog0059.htm#07Apr2006

There is an Aikido for 9-Pin inputs / outputs 12AU7 etc

PS: I has done the pcb's also:
http://store.yahoo.com/glass-ware/aikamp9pinbo.html

But you can also build one without pcb ; it's simple and of the "best quality"

Regards.

Alain.

vnarchitect,

On the other side of the sea... The KTR from Andr Cocheteux with 12AT7 tubes...

There is a serie of articles in:
http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/

A SRPP praised of high level ; published in revue LED 182/183

http://isasarl.com/ goto: publication / preamplificateur

The upgraded version with 5725 tubes is of the highest level!
http://isasarl.com/ goto: publication / Optimisation

Even if this is a "french site" lot's of schematics are self explanatory.

Alain.

I thought he said simple. As I recall the original BH foreplay was a simple RC coupled CC 12AU7 and got pretty good reviews. No doubt the trick is in setting the proper operating point.
