Hi Everybody,
Could you tell me how should 6877 this vacuum tube be used? http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/f...131/6/6877.pdf Make control element(pass device) of the "series regulator" , OK? I want to use 6B8 as to "comparison" . I want to get the output voltage 150V~200V. Could you tell me how it will want to do? cheer, KEN. |

As a series regulator tube these would be used the same as a 6AS7, 6080, or 12B4.
But if you actually have some of these, don't waste them in a power supply! They are quite valuable and potentially make a good small audio output tube... 12W plate dissipation, mu = 3.75, Rp = 2k, Gm = 7500... a lot like a 45. Pete |

Hi!
I do have a couple of Bendix 6877, and i notice the 12W plate dissipation. A SE little amp is what i would like to do whith It's unlikely to found another two ones, so a SE is mandatory for me. At first sight it seems that would be possible extract some 2/3 W, and that some 2.5/3.5K iron will be Ok. But it looks like it want some 30/35 V on g1, I'm wrong? A 0D3 regulated supply for the input tube maybe? (just to use things that I do have at home) Thanks J http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/f...131/6/6877.pdf
