First nos tubes

Just received two RCA 2a3's and a mullard GZ37 one of the 2a3's has some silver flecks on the getter side one's base is slight movement and all three have light scratches on their envolopes am I expecting too much.

Thanks for answering EC8010. I havent built the amplifer yet but the company I bought them from tests all the valves they sell.

The other interesting thing I just noticed with the 2a3's one has one getter the other has two wonderous things these valves.

It's a good idea when buying valves to have the project built and working so that you can try out new valves immediately. The vendor won't have any sympathy if it should turn out in six months that one of the valves isn't right...
