Hi, ALL

I'm newbies from Taiwan, I'm gonna stay in Chicago, USA for one month, It is a bit boring here, can anybody body introuduce me any shoping spot for tube amp DIY? Also my next station will be in LA for just one week before going back, Help me on weeken's killing time

You are coming from Taiwan and want to buy diy tubes here in USA?

The days when you could go to a store here and buy components are gone!
Here in LA almost all electronic stores where you could buy parts are all gone and out of business. It is really sad for those of us building stuff, and a royal pain in the butt to buy parts.

Mail order is the name of the game here.
You want to buy diy stuff goto hong kong, {sham shui poo}, apilu street and {mong kok}.

Just prepare a list of components you want to buy. There are few web sites that you can order the parts and courier to you next day while you are in the U.S.

There are electronic stores in LA !
If you want just tubes Darcell is a good place
and Alex is a nice guy. No other just tube
places in LA. If your looking for DIY Audio
places with components for tube amps
there are a few other places:
Where I use to work : Family Business
Apex Electronics in Sun Valley
All Electronics in Van Nuys
And me Apex Jr. in La Crescenta
