CCS-loaded cathoder follower

It seems so strange to me. I'm using a CCS-loaded cathode follower in my preamp, unbypassed. It works, so? You don't need to bypass the cathodes of SE output tubes if you use a CCS.

Perfect sense Giaime. A capacitor is a constant voltage device. It would only fight with a constant current source until one caved in.

Notice that I was wrong when I said that, because I confused CCS under cathode followers (where load is in PARALLEL with CCS) and CCS under single ended output tubes (where load is in SERIES) with the CCS. In the second condition, the circuit won't work.

I read in this thread about cathode loaded output stages, I thought you were talking about these. Thanks for setting me straight.
