I recently aquired an old HH Scott 233 (similar to 299c) with what looks to be original tubes, doing a visual inspection before the first soft start, I noticed the filter cap after the power supply had died. This is one of those multi section caps in the metal can. It's rated at 20-20-20-20 at 500v, the best replacement I can find (besides restuffing or mounting underneath) is a 30-20-20-20 525v. It should be possible to use the 30mfd section to actually help the filtering right? What connection do you think would make the best use of the 30mfd? Thanks.
