Hi folks,
since there has been some discussion on screen driven deflection tubes here recently, I measured EL36 prebiased with Eg1 = -15V, -20V and -25V (for Eg1 = 0, there is a Philips/Miniwatt sheet available somewhere on the Žnet). In the case of EL36, while very good linearity can be obtained (if you use a CF driver for g2 being strong enough), I really think it is not worth the effort: Just take a look at the EL36 trioded strapped (extended range) curves which can be found at the same location at my web site. EL36 screen driven and triode strapped curves Tom
