Default 966 mercury vapor rectifier

I've got a pair of Cetron 966 mercury vapor rectifiers that I've been using for a while (very happily. ) They look identical to Hytron 866A's that I have, and seem to operate identically as well. Ok, so I've been treating them as 866A's, but every now and then I start wonding what the difference might be ...

Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks Sy.

Wonder why I never uncovered that page in my web searches. Anyway, it claims higher voltage rating, yet the rating it lists is the same 10kV PIV as the 866A. hmmm

I did find interesting info there about a mysterious EIMAC 327-A triode (that I picked up who knows where.) I learned that it takes 100W to light the filament! I guess I won't be building a pulsed radar transmitter until I collect some more parts.
