Oh, thanks for the info Jeapel. I only changed the 100 ohm resistor for a 220ohms. Current is around 5mA.

Yep, and i didn't parallel them so it was too much current....that was the problem.

hi

WOW ! great tube software where i download

but there is something ? to me more current 10ma

on input stage and 5ma driver stage ? reverse

condition is more normal like

input maybe 2 to 5 ma

driver maybe 5 to 10 ma

output maybe 50 to 80 ma

Hi Jeapel, these operating points sound good. I paralelled the 6sn7's....not good....paralleled the 6as7's....not good. 6SN7 with 5mA driving the 6as7 doesn't sound good. However with an extra stage, 6dj8 at 10ma, the amp sounds good...at least better than my other humble amps. Great bass.
I am no EE. I design by ear...sometimes it's tricky...but i don't follow many rules. Having said this it is also true that i will try other tubes, other operating points and other driver stages. Such is this hobby...you are rarely satisfied.
