How to use Svetlana 6d22s?
I want to use these tubes in a full wave c.t. rectifier.
Does anyone know what R and C values should immediately follow the recitfier so it does not overload? It is not on the data sheet. |

Damper diodes are highly resistant to arc over. Also, they are designed to deal with high current pulses. 40 muF. is almost certainly safe and even 68 muF. may be OK.

hi i use PY500A damper diodes(reasonably similar to 6d22s), and have 47uF as input, no problem whatsoever
Have a look at triodedick's goliath , he seems to have had some trouble with the 6d22s...... i'd like to try them also, because they are cheaper then py500a, and if they can do the trick.....!!!
