Hello All,
I have the bug to build an SE amp and I'm looking for parts. From what I've read the 125ESE is OK to start with for a reasonably priced output transformer. Do we have a "Hobbyist Priced" source identified. I been able to find them at $32. What about the XSE15-8-5K from Edcor ? They're priced right at $17.95. Please Advise. Thanks, Tinker |

Same sound, better bottom end.
I just got a pair with 5K/8R windings for a little (3W SE) amp. We're talking 19 Hz at full out!
