Default balanced grounded grid preamp

Hi! I have built a GG preamp and quite like the character. I am planing to build a balanced version.

I wonder if I add a long tail phase splitter stage

before the grounded grid would help to increase the common mode rejection ratio of the system?

A balanced version would more look like two SRPPīs working on a tail resistor or current source.

your schematic looks more like a Balanced Audio Technology.

My plan is to use Long tail phase splitter for balanced input. (See the top schematic). The output is then connected to the input of the lower schematic.

Have understand your plan. Why so complicated?

To have a balanced GG you only need one more triode per channel, if you like add your penthode CCS.

Becasue I want to introduce common mod rejection into the system to get the benefit of balanced input

You will use the gg amp as a buffer, no common mode rejektion there.

As I told you before, use two Srpp stages on a CCS, ready.
