Who can help me with theory ?
In a 440v SS power supply with a 220+220UF 500v Black Gate two+two series of 600v SiC schottkys rectifiers plus two paralelled 15 H chokes to ensure more miliamps , which was working well , without no listenable hum or other noises , I finnaly added an old ITALCOND 2200uf/450v lityc can . To my surprise the whole TT22(=KT88) SE amp gained a new life which surprised me a lot . The answer : Will a brand new 6800uf/450v EPCOS increase the more capacitance good effect , or should i be aware not damaging the valves with all this miliamps ? Thanks in advance M A |

There is always a point of diminishing returns. If your rectifiers are up to the challenge of initial turn-on currents, try it and see if you like it.
It is unlikely that too much capacitance in the power supply will actually damage the amplifier section of almost any amplifier.
