I built last year a stereo power using ECL82 ( similar to PCL82 -
with different heater voltage ) ultra-linear / push-pull configuration
7 Watts / channel ( based on Mullard 407 project from 50's ).

It sounds great , amazing sound quality and tonal richness, and
very , very smooth sound

These little tubes are amazing , and more they are cheap

I recommend them !!!

I built a very inefficient parafeed headphone amp using 2 ECL82's. It sound very good sweet and smooth. Better than I expected because most of the advise was to use ECL86's which are supposedly better valves. The triode section benefits from been run hotter than suggested on the datasheets. I run mine at double the current by halving the load and cathode resistor values. This allowed me to use more plate to plate feedback.
