My first SE tube amp - battery bias-ed, triode connected E80F, ultra-linear connected 6L6GC, GZ34, Hashimoto transformers, ASC and Mundorf capacitors, Takman resistors. On the first photo the driver tubes are the russian analogs of EF86 but the original Valvo E80F which I found later sound much, much better ;)

Eh. It looks okay.

What ruins it for me is the unpopulated screw post at 9 o'clock in the second picture. I mean, c'mon, really!?!?! Something like that just ruins the sound being produced!

I think the only solution is to send the amplifier to me so I can do a long term test to determine the effects that has on the sound. I would totally isolate the amplifier under a custom made ventilated glass cover top in a specially constructed enclosed room with some kick-*** speakers. Adjust the lighting levels to suit the music and see what happens.

Of course I would totally steal... I mean take all the credit for this finely crafted piece of art (trust me, no one would believe it).

How you guys come up with such great looking amplifier that aren't marred by accidental scratch marks, tool slips, and dents I will never know. Stunning under the hood.
