Kitchen bench production the last 6 months, from left to right:
Valhalla: Based on KT90 in ultra linear, class AB2. Mullard/leak input technology with following gain stage and DC coupled cathode follower for power stage feed. (External power supply not on the picture). The amp runs with 10dB partial feedback from the primary of the OPTs back to the driver stage and 14dB global NFB.
Powerful amp with clean sound.

Sweep AMP: 6LU8 in PP pentode mode with stabilized g2 voltage, class AB1.
Very good little amp build around vertical deflection tubes. Makes 2x15W on a good day with reasonable low distortion. Most people who have listen to this one have been surprised over how well it performs.

Ekkofisk: (Echo Fish). A small amp based on 6EM7 parallel triode push pull with input transformer for the phase splitting. Painted in original Ford Mustand ’67 blue metallic. For the moment it runs without any kind of NFB and sound sweet and warm, but a little bit "tubish" when put to the limit.

The KT90s are Golden Dragon. I found them quite good sounding and reliable. The working conditions in this set up is Va=550V and Ia=60-65mA. It seems to me that it is possible to squeeze a little bit more power out of the KT90s than KT88s of the same (and other) brand.
I Norway KT90 is about 20-30% more expensive than KT88.
