By the way, what is wrong a 6BR7 input stage?

Asbestos - no! They'd get asbestosis or mesothelioma or something horrible like that...

Hehe lucky I dont have any children then

I had some problems with a whitenoise like sound comming from the first stage, I tried it in triodemode but it was still there..
