now playing.....2A3 SET, 3 watts output driving my US Audio 90db floorstanders...
D3a triode wired at about 10mA plate current..... the 2A3 operates with 250volts plate and 60mA cathode for a tube dissipation of 15watts producing a little over 3watts output power.... ![]() ![]()

Tony: I must make myself one one day. Nice simple build. I'm currently have 300B, 807 and 6EM7 amps in constant use. But a 2A3 would roof about the collection.

Most of my amps range from 2.5W to 5.8W but I'm about to make an 171-A amp of 0.5W. Wish me luck.
