It doesn't have any tubes in it, but it switches my tube amplifiers and speakers, and I can't find an area to share it...
6x4 speaker switch because I ran out of room on the old 4x2 I built.
Hammond chassis, relay switching, Nixie indication, touch power...

At this point, I have a question: How do u safely switch between tube amps, what about output load?
Some of my prototypes
Here are some of my prototype amps over the last few years....
Hope you like them....

Most of my designs (the triode connected ones) don't mind being switched in and out. I wouldn't do this with any old tube amp though. Usually I turn one off before switching to another one, but I have room inside the switch to have dummy load resistors attached when the speakers aren't. They'll be added in when I receive the resistors.
Hi Carlp,Nice, Peterfarrow. I'm a sucker for the blue glow! What are those tubes (outputs I assume)?
They are Tung-sol 7581A
the "A" designation is important, its the higher wattage, fatter anode version.

Custom Transformer, 0.9-0-0.9 @ 2ALoving those CK1006 tubes, did you have a custom transformer made for those or do you use some regulated solution?
Oh man! Love that! 7581A? I don't know that one. Cheers and thanks!
Its just like and EL34 but with more dissipation...
Nice.. regarding CK1006 rectifier, did you use capacitor input and limit inrush current with added resistors? the only datasheet I found is from Raytheon, they mention cap input without any details..

My dad turns 74 this week... I built this for him
Total cost about 300$ CAD.
~10WPC 14Hz-50kHz
12SN7 front end, 6F12P VA/PI, 6P43P output, triode connected, Eff Ra-a ~3k@8R using interleaved Triad VPT12-2080 as the OPT.
