Sweet!

What is it with you Canadians and moving parts...

I met a Canadian DIYer from Quebec? (I forget) a couple of years ago at one of those audio shows in NYC. He brought down his turntable he had made to use as a source for one of the rooms. The turntable was machined in aluminum with carbon fiber throughout; plith, platter, arm... The turntable was isolated by some form of liquid damping at the four corners.

It was the most beautiful turntable I had ever seen. And unique...the only one made.

Although form must follow function; no DIYer should be afraid of making something too beautiful.

It's those long Canadian Winters, we need something extra to keep us occupied during Igloo season.

Now I have mounted it in a standard 1U rack box.

The KT88 is runing in triode mode. I love the sound!

Wow!!

That's certianly a marked difference from the last chassis =D

Great work!!

Hi Everynone! My first post at this interesting forum.

I could start with following suit - showing off some of the hardware I have build:

First a pre-amp using ECC82

Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

Power supply is in a separate box

Next out is a OTL headphone amp based on 6SN7

Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

Power supply uses tube rectifier and electronic regulation.

Finally, an OTL for headphones using 6AS7 + E88CC

Click the image to open in full size.

More will come - current plan is an SE with 807's...

I mean, that it is nice work too , but rather dangerous for children, as is good habit of tube builders .
