• WARNING: Tube/Valve amplifiers use potentially LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGES.
Building, troubleshooting and testing of these amplifiers should only be
performed by someone who is thoroughly familiar with
the safety precautions around high voltages.

This thing sits on my desk between my computer audio line out, and a pair of vintage Minimus 7 speakers.

There are lots of one tube SE amps. Then, one day, someone asked about building a one tube PP amp. This is what I came up with. You see two tubes in the pic, because this is the stereo version. Tubes are 6M11 Compactrons, pentode/dual triode. Output power is in the 300mW range (Class A), which is enough when I'm sitting only 3 feet away.

Passive components, excluding power supply, are on a PCB. Hmm, I need to make the OTP's look prettier.

Im the last one to declare i am aware on electronics, but if we apply the numbers on the previous equation {Zout = Va/(Pa/Va) } with Va=201.2 and Pa=5W the outcome is around 8k.

Also for the triode section we get something like 11.5k.
Now as they act in parallel i think 7k and 5k respectivly seems ok and even a bit "over dummed".

But as i already said i may be wrong.

Just another toy, a bit of a Frankenstein cirquit :)

It's great!
The unusual finish.
