mono circuit description:
2.5k resistor (each) from the 16 ohm tap of the left and right OPTs
in parallel with a single 5k resistor( to ground) thence to a single RCA jack at the rear.
would it be possible to split the above mono center channel out signal (of a vintage tube amp) into two separate left and right out(s)?
left and right signals to be fed to a stereo amp for biamping.

Yes, just split that 5k resistor into 2 10k ones, one for each channel, and connect them to 2 RCA outputs.
But I can't understand why you must take the signal out from an OPT It would be better to take it from the input or after the first gainstage. This way it will have less noise and distortion!

It's a 6bm8 PP amp. the triode sections act as the gain and phase inv. stage. similar to the following svetlana circuit.

BTW, if i take the signal after the input or first gain stage, as you suggested, will i have to rework the feedback circuit?

Why don't you take the signal directly from the input?
Or do you want to use the amp's gainstage like a preamp? In that case, you could take your inputs after the first triode, on the plate (pin9). Don't forget to put a DC blocking capacitor of the proper voltage. 0.47uF will do fine.

How little is the world! And I thought my ARs were lonely children...
If you want to hear serious music from them (because they can, oh they can rival very expensive speakers) you have to power them with extreme amps, like 200 or more watts per channel. They like it BIG SAE amps come to mind, but even big Marantz like the 250.
