Default Just need to make sure.

OK I am way new to tubes so I just want to make sure I am not wrong. Looking at the schematic for pins 1, 2, 5, & 6, and comparing them to the pic of the socket, is not 1 & 2 numbered wrong, and need to swapped, 1 on the bottom, 2 to the left, or am I completely confused.

The schematic is just a representation and can be drawn as the draughts-person desires, as long as pin1 is the control grid, and pin 2 is the cathode, that's all that matters. It could even be drawn mirror-image.
The socket or base layout is a physical thing, so has to relate to the pysical nature of the object, that can't be drawn any differently.

Have a look at the 6aq6 datasheet on this page for comparison. You will se that the schematic symbol is drawn quite differently (which is allowed), but the socket/base is the same.
