Why? I priced the mains and output trans from wad and it was about 350 GBP for all three, but they aint trading any more.
Wad sold the kit with valves for under 600 GBP

Sowter's product is higher in quality than that provided by WAD. Also, the difference in labor costs between the "1st world" and the "3rd world" are considerable.

You indicated that you want an integrated amp. and 50 WPC is not mandatory. If the speakers you build are approx. 95 dB. efficient, an 8 WPC amp is quite adequate. You could build something NICE at 8 WPC, including GOOD "iron", for less than that WAD kit costs.

i'm also a beginner on tube amps, don't know if you have seen these articles but they helped me gain a lot of understanding about how tubes and their circuitry works......
