I would like to extend an offer for Mike to move his operations down to Australia!
)Seriously though, I do hope it works out well for him. Sounds like a tetchy situation Us tubeophiles the world over certainly need what his company produces.

Ned hit the nail on the head. EI's production post NATO bombing has been PLAGUED by Q/C problems, including misaligned screen grids in KT90s.
It's all very sad, as prior to the NATO bombing EI made some NICE tubes. At a minimum, add the KT90 to JT's list. "NOS" EI = good

Maybe a letter writing campaign might help our gentleman?
USA(Washington) embassy> These are the guys that bombed Serbia and the EI factory - I doubt whether they have the slightest interest in either tubes or Eastern Europe on past form. |

Hi Ned,
Got the same letter from New Sensor. So it looks like there is breathing room. Let's hope they prevail. I don't really want to search for another source of reasonably priced good tubes. Mostly because they don't exist at this time. -Chris |
