Magnequest, Jensen, Cinemaq...

In England, don't forget Sowter.

Lundahl transformers are very good. I also like Sowter and Audio Note iron - I listen to it every day in my 300B amplifier. I've always wanted to try Tamura amorphous transformers (one can get them from Japan) which look exquisite, but they are not cheap... Hammond makes decent budget iron - readily available too. In States, MagneQuest transformers are heavily hyped, but I am put off by absence of electrial specs and the general smell of snake oil to really give them a try in my designs. YMMV.

I'll add Bud Purvine, hpurvine@aol.com. Used by Lynn Olsen and his chums. Handmade in small quantities and good value. He's in the USA. I use his OPTs and they're excellent.
