Hi,
On another post there was mention of the usage of a 6SJ7 as a tube in the first position. This looked very interesting but since I only have one it would seem a waste of time at the moment. I was wondering if a 6BH6 would work instead. I am not a good circuit designer so I will await the comments of the higher educated and more experienced here. If it would work could we conduct tube 101 design here? |

Looks like these two are close enough so that the 6BH6 would work. Looks like there will have to be some adjustment of bias, but that may not amount to much, or even be necessary. The 6BH6, however, doesn't look to be quite as linear as the 6SJ7. |
