Hi.
There are two possibilities;

1. Change the mains tapping to 250V, this only applies to EI transformer versions, some later units were just 240V.

2. It is possible to limit the voltage by adding large wattage resistors in line with the Output transformer centre tap.

Personally, we have had no problems with valves with this model, the later BB100 and the 101 had even higher supply rails.
We do recommend specially matched valves that can be supplied by us, as some brands of EL84 do not like 300+ volts.

my tube used as first were SOVTEK 2 tubes last only 1 month
and 1 last 9 month---
now i use tubes from TUBE AMP DOCTOR --EL84-CZ
i dont now how long they last (only 14 days old)
to CHRIS i will send you a mail.....perhaps you have ideas to upgrade this great amp---i can tell you i love this amp...
ps---the new tube sound a god deal better
