Hi,

I have a little SE 6V6 guitar amp. I wanted to mod it to SEP using another 6V6 (same brand). Before making any changes in the circuit i tested the other tube and found out that it draws 90 mA:bigeyes: instead of 55mA (normal operating point). The bias had changed from -17 Volts to -30 Volts.Of course this tube can't be used, so the circuit is going to be kept SE for the moment. But curiosity itches me and i would like to know what's going wrong with this tube. Both were bought at the same time, both are NOS GE. Maybe someone who knows about tubes behavior could enlighten me.

Thanks.
