I have a very old Pioneer sa-810. Nice push-pull thing, but quite complex 3d wiring. Hard to follow.
I am relatively new to tube amp restoration, and I just cant find my way around this thing without a schematic.
I have spent a good few hours searching the net, but with no luck (I did find the schematic, but nothing for free, and I'm not ready to invest).
Can Anyone help?
-Raphael

I might have it at home.
Raphael,
I have a CD of Pioneer Tube Schematics at home - Its Friday afternoon now - will check for SA-810 and bring it in Monday to send if you haven't had a reply by then. Patience is a Virtue, so they say.
Cheers,
Ian

SA-810 Schematic
OK I have the CD with me today - definitely has the SA-810 schematic on it. Unfortunately its a .pcx "Photoshop" file of 744kBytes and for some reason converting it to jpg seems to double the file size. Email me with your email address and I'll send it to you.
Cheers,
Ian

Thanks
I couldn't e-mail you through the forum, but my e-mail address is raphael_tube@yahoo.com and I would realy apreciate the schematic, in whatever format.
Thank you very much.

Comming Soon.
I have recently had a people contacting me, in order to get hold of the schematic so I will attach it to a post.
I couldn't do it now, because it's a .pcx file and it diddn't work. But I'll convert it.

If you have the free program IRFANVIEW, save as a 2 color TIF using Fax Group 4 - willl be much smaller. If you DON'Y have IRFANVIEW, go to irfanview.com and get it! Jpg is usually a poor choice for schematics.
When I look into attached file I found that 12AX7 and 6AN8 heaters are connected to 5,5V section.
Is it ok to use 5,5V ? (standard for this tubes is 6,3V)

I do not have SA-810 yet on my table (so I can not check it by MM) but if you look for V1/V2 heater (in -19V section) you can find 22V for 2 valves (4 x 5,5V).
It doesn’t looks like typo.

Agreed, I think effort has been made for the heaters to deliberately run that way, particularly in the way the v1/v2 heaters have got their dc supply via R87 (180ohm 7w)
I check Sansui 1000 diagram (looks like Pioneer). Heaters voltage is 6,3V (the same tube types) but Sansui use rotary pot connected heater output and ground
Probably a hum pot.
I've a pioneer ER420 and it's very similar to any other pioneer schemos I've seen so far.
This one is a bit different

Thanks for the schematic, Raphael. (And Ian for giving it to Raphael)
Gee, there ain't much-if any info on the Pioneer SA-810.
I also have a Sansui 1000A and there is a lot of info and more interest to be found.
If anybody else has any useful info on the "Pioneer SA-810" I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew.
