WIMA FKP1 1000V as coupling cap ??

Ciao belli,

I will need some parafeed caps and ... maybe I will be able to source some 0.068uF/1000V FKP1 WIMA for <1.0 eur/each. Not that cheap actually but ... much cheaper than some hi-street caps.

Would you suggest to go for them and use as many as necessary in parallel? PCB is going to be very populated this way :-)

Whats your favourite coupling/parafeed cap?

I would suggest audyncap (1,70 euro`s a piece ex VAT etc), or if you can get them at cheap : sprague vitamin Q paper in oil`s, But to me , audyncap is the bottom line. Experimenting is a good way of finding out, if your wallet let`s you.
I often use a mixture of MKP/PIO. I have never used WIMA MKP`s though.
My personal experience with different brands PIO`s is not always good, they`re so expensive, if the sound decreases you`re screwed, so I would stick to MKP`s if you don`t want to spend too much.

FKP = Foil polypropylene
MKP = Metallised polypropylene

FKP1 is well-regarded as a coupling capacitor.
