Hello,
Linearity seems fine to me. I've seem them listed for around 27.00 USD. Don't forget you will need some magnoval sockets too. It was often used as a video output amplifier and in some scopes. Provided you have enough spares to keep it running, why not? Cheers,

Looks excellent, and I've heard other people speak well of it too. looks like it'd make an excellent driver for a 2A3/6B4G.
How about you send me 8 or so to try and I'll report back on how they sound. <G> Cheers |

heh, I used to be the owner of those 4 8233's going to Colt45. Don't worry, I'm sending him sockets with em. Nice set actually...
Matched pairs of Mullard gold pin 8233's with gold pinned ceramic sockets... They all came out of a pair of tv trunk amplifers from BC after they eliminated tubes and made SS trunks. Very nice indeed. Colt45 may also get the original SOLA regulated PSU's that go with these tubes, very posh if I may say so myself...
