What is the proper pin 4,5,9, connections to run a 5687 at 6.2 volts?
My PT has a 6.2 Vac center tapped filament supply and plenty amps. Is it, pin 4 & 5 shorted on one leg and pin 9 on the other?.etc I just want to power up this experiment, I don't need regulation, or 12 V DC recitified now. thanks, dr._sleep P.S. I should know this...so shoot me. |

almost... 5687 has a different pinout than 12A_7 types; the heater CT is on pin 8 (and section 1 plate is 9 and cathode is 6). but otherwise, yes, just connect 4 & 5 together and put the 6.3V between them and 8. |
