Question preamp tubes change

Ill like to know if I can change the preamp tubes of my amp without doing any chage in the schematic. The amp uses the ecc83 and I gould like to try the ecc82.

These two tubes are very, very different.

This is an excellent and easy swap as long as you never plan to turn on the preamp again. A more challenging swap to octal tubes will require a mallet and duct tape.

Or you could play it safe at look for another substitution here:

Ive been reading arround and many peoples say that the change can be done, in a expert page its said that the change can be done but that it doesnt allays work.

Substitutions:
* means appropriate for parallel filament circuits
# means may not work in all circuits
Preamp and driver tube substitutions:
