At the moment I'm using a SRPP 6SN7 input stage for my SE 2A3 amp.Just wondering if I could use the following schematic as an input stage.
I'm using it as a linestage and prefer the sound to the SRPP I was using.Or would I be better off with 1/2 an ecc85 direct coupled to a 6J5 instead. I'm looking for a more open, dynamic sound, not necessarily more power. |

Here's the other schematic I was thinking of using as an input stage. There will be a 4k7 anode resistor on the ecc85.
