I bought a pair not too long ago one works fine but the other one was labeled 'dead'. I replaced the burnt fuse and turned it on. The tubes lit up but after about 10 seconds there was a blue flash and the fuse burned up again. Does somone know what the problem is?
THanks....

I would imagine you need to replace all the power supply and signal capacitors (basically all capacitors) in BOTH amplifiers for reliable use.
You should also replace out-of-spec resistors, and weak tubes. You might have a shorted rectifier tube. However the power supply capacitors are the most likely cause of this. |
