Hi,
Anyone who have experience using this line stage transformer by Elektra-Print. I am in search of a different but good sounding pre and came across with a transformer coupled design specifically made by Elektra-Print. I wanted to know the primary and secondary impedance of the L-3500 being at 8:1 ratio. Would also appreciate your comments on this topology. Thanks in advance.. |

I'm not familiar with the circuit for which that transformer was intended, but impedance ratio is usually the square of the turns ratio...so 8:1 turns ratio means 64:1 Z ratio.
In hindsight, I can't recall if texts explain/derive this relationship or if there are any qualifiers for it to always be true. Murray
