Voltage drop AZ1 = AZ11 = RGN1064 rectifier tube

Hello,

Does anybody know how much the voltage drop of a AZ11 = AZ1 = RGN1064 rectifier tube is? I looked at many datasheets, but cannot find it - or is it in the curves that I should look?

I'ld like to use it in an schematic that uses 5U4, if Az1 loses less voltage it's no problem, otherwise my amp will be short of voltage!

Regarding datasheets at 70mA for example AZ1 drops about 34V. This is a plate resistance of 485R. AZ11 has almost identical plate resistance.

If you are looking for low loss, good sounding and high current rectifier you should look for GZ32 tube.

Hello reaction,

Just found where to look now you gave me one 'solution'.

Voltage drop at 75 mA: 5U4=25V / AZ11=40V / GZ34=6V!!! The GZ32 drops a little less than the 5U4 and still some more than the GZ34...

I'm gonna go for the GZ34 as they have a good reputation (except for the Chinese, although my local tube-guru finds many Chinese tubes including these excellent...) and I have some new production JJ's and nos Siemens lying around.
