VT52: are the triode and pentode alike?

hello,

I just bought some nos Mullard VT52 pentodes. Allas, all of the vt52 schematics I can find are for VT52 dht triodes. Strangely enough both (seemingly very different) tubes share the same name and I can nowhere find any article or mention that explains the difference between these two types or that talks about the history of the vt52...

Is the pentode a later version? Can it be used in a vt52 triode circuit by connecting it in triode mode?

And most importantly, does anyone know if it sounds good? I've heard good things about the triode, but the type I have is and looks very different (with topcap and box-anode I think it's called). You can find a picture and specs here:

Many thanks!
