Here's a schematic for both 1:2 and 1:5 step up transformers with the RC network values optimized for 10k and 50k loads so they can be used with standard potentiometer values.

For a 1:10 like the CineMag CMMI-10C, just load it with 100k and no RC network.

Many thanks for the transformer info, I've been looking for exactly this but passed by those marked as microphone step-ups. Any concerns about running the Cinemag's at consumer audio level? Are they conservatively rated? Thanks again in advance.
