Another Bogen about to come to life. Right on.

lately all i have been geting off ebay is bogen. just looked over my tubs i have all in need to test it before i rebuild it. if the iron is good i will be surprized its the only thing that looks like it has seen some heat than rusted over

Hi karma,
Don't forget these were PA amps. Many ran 24 / 7 for years. The transformers run warm, but are usually okay.

I've heard worse music amps - some new design.

I hope you're treating this amplifier as a learning process because that's a tiny output transformer (big is better)...

ya i have yet to get it. but it is a little small by looking at the pic
we shall see. i have a box of parts from old bogens if i need em

if it cant be restored ill mod it out

here is the bottom pic it looks all original iron that is

ill lookup the model is if its the same

sounds good lots of base even with such a small output tranny.

i just need to hunt down a cage

and a few parts here and there

sure thing a problem came up with one of the caps it was shorting out in the inside. made poping sound than blew the fuze.
replace it. its been work for hours now no problems.

weird thing when i took the cap apart to see what it was doing
the parts in side are smaller than the case talk about cheap

looks kinda weird with 2 different rectifier tubes but ill be order all
new tubes
