I need some inductors for filtering HF garbage at the output of a DAC chip (before signal enters a E810F), but are wondering; will it be worth the effort to get some small toroids and wind them myself using some thin silver (teflon) hookup wire? or would it just be a waste of good time and hookup wire? I'm talking two inductors per channel, 3.3mH each. I just found some small ferrite and iron powder toroids in a local store..

Thanks. As you say, jewelry...heh. At least shiny silver stuff in audio equipment makes more sense than gold around necks and fingers, eh? It probably won't improve much, but "useless" are hash words... they WILL filter noise :D And I will get yet another DIY experience (winding my own coils)
