arnach,
consider, with a 2A3 you will never exceed 5 Watt, even with the Sovtek monster. No point in buying a huge iron, Said Tamura will do fine and the Tango XE-20S has heaps of headroom, yo do not need a bigger Tango for a 2A3

Yes, but, is the Tango X-2.7 sonically better than the XE-20s...hmm I have heard it said that it was in a different league.. but i'm not sur.

James iron is starting to get some good word of mouth. A sample (for 300B) has made it to this corner of the world. Will report back when i find out more.

Default forget

No Tango/Tamura for me.. it's all about Tribute.

Amorphous C-core (Tamura uses I-E, C is superior), bifilar or trifilar wound, custom made - $500 or so/pr

www.triodes.nl

That's a deal!

Default Tango.

Hi,

Anyone noticed they carry a nice line of chokes as well?
Feedback is most welcome on these.

Aaron,
eager to learn about tribute, tell us your expereinces once you have them. Have heard rumours about them, must be very good!

Frank,
Tango chokes are certainly not bad at all, so i have heard, but they cost 3x as much as Lundahl. And Lundahl have been the ones tried out excessively here in Munich, noone of the guys even considered to try something else, all were extraoridaily satisifed with Lundahl chokes.

Default TANGO

Bernhard,

Certainly wasn't critisising Tango nor any others.
The more choice we have the better I reckon.

For info:anyone interested in the art of OPT,chokes, in short anything transformer should at least have a look at :

If U like the jazz, choice Tango NY-15-3.5S. its better than F7002.
I compare the f5002 & Ny-15-3.5S. I like permalloy core than amphorous.

thanks

Thomas,

While we can all sympathize with your enthusiasm, there is no point in littering the forum with it.

It is not accepted practice to do that here, so, I have to report it to the moderators.

Cheers,
