One of the best preamplifier for your needs (and not only) according to my experience, could be an SRPP made by Electro Harmonix 6H30.

Very musical, very low output impedence, very simple design, very low THD. What else you need?

Remember a big capacitor at the output (not less than 2,2uF).

I prefer Jensen Oil Cap (Silver or aluminium).

Remeber a very good volume control (100Kohm, or better 50k)(Noble, Alps or ladder with at least 36 position).
